The occupations eligible for skill assessment in Australia are classified under the Skilled Occupation Lists. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, there are three main lists:
1. Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL):
– This list includes occupations that are considered to be in demand in Australia on a long-term basis. Individuals with skills in these occupations may be eligible for skilled visas like the Subclass 189 (Independent) visa.
2. Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL):
– This list includes occupations that are considered to be in demand in Australia on a short-term basis. Individuals with skills in these occupations may be eligible for skilled visas like the Subclass 190 (State Nominated) visa or the Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional) visa.
3. Regional Occupation List (ROL):
– This list includes occupations that are considered to be in demand in specific regional areas of Australia. Individuals with skills in these occupations may be eligible for skilled visas like the Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional) visa.
